Clara is completely fascinated with the fact that the windows in our new apartment are low enough that she can look out them. Couple that with the fact that there is a big tree right in front of the living room window on which the squirrels love to frolick, and you can bearly tear her away.

All Grown Up!
This is my cousin Emily, who many of you might remember from Little Sibling Weekend at Marquette when she was about 6 or 7 (no she's not my little sibling, but that weekend was primarily for little kids and my brother is less than two years younger than me). She's standing with her dad, my Uncle Bill, and this was taken this past Christmas. She's about to turn 16 now--can you believe it? She's an awesome person--very independent, smart, and with her own sense of style. I can't wait to see what she'll do once she breaks through the shell of high school--I'm sure it'll be fabulous.
Buddies
When I went home for Christmas this year, I was able to take Clara with me for the first time. She had never met Zoe (my parent's dog) before, and it took them a little while to get used to each other. But after about a week, they were pretty good friends. "Ebony and Ivory live together in perfect harmony..." Ok, ok, no need to throw the rotten fruit!
Moving Day
Hey there! Long time, no blog. Things have been a bit crazy around here with the big move and starting school, but I'm now all settled into Champaign and so far I really like it. Now if only we could get the weather to cooperate and fast-forward to spring... The official move happened on January 19th. As we waited for the movers to do their thing, this is what you might of seen of Clara and I:
After they took the bed away, Clara decided that she had no choice but to use the mover's moving blankets as a bed:

So long, Eastlake Terrace. You were a good home for four years and I'll definitely miss you. But it's time to start a new adventure and the Beara and I are ready!
